Selection Process for Technician Jobs

The selection process comprises two stages:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT): A 120-minute test with 100 multiple-choice questions, conducted in cities such as Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Kolkata. Each question carries 1 mark, with a 0.25 negative mark for incorrect answers. The syllabus focuses on core ITI trade subjects. Candidates must score at least 50% in the CBT.
2. Trade Test: Held in Hyderabad for candidates shortlisted in a 1:4 ratio based on CBT performance. Candidates must score at least 50% in the Trade Test. The overall selection weightage is 85% for CBT and 15% for Trade Test, with a minimum of 60% aggregate required.

SC/ST candidates may receive relaxed performance standards, and OBC candidates may qualify for relaxed norms if suitable candidates are unavailable, as per ECIL’s discretion. No personal interviews will be conducted.

Salary Details for Technician Jobs

Selected candidates will be placed at a basic pay of ₹20,480 per month, with a 3% annual increment. Additional benefits include Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Provident Fund (PF), Gratuity, Medical Benefits, and Leave as per ECIL’s policies.

Application Process for Technician Jobs

1. Access the ECIL website at www.ecil.co.in, navigate to Careers > Current Job Openings, and select the Technician (Gr-II) advertisement.
2. Complete the online application form between May 16, 2025 (14:00 hrs) and June 5, 2025 (14:00 hrs).
3. Upload a recent passport-size photograph (4×3 cm, <100 KB) and signature (<50 KB) in JPEG format.
4. Pay the application fee of ₹750 (if applicable) through SBI Collect, either online or offline at an SBI branch, and note the reference number.
5. Download and print the completed application form, which will be available until the registration deadline.
6. Bring the signed application form, a recent photograph, and self-attested copies of documents (10th certificate, ITI certificate, NAC/experience certificate, caste/PwD certificate, fee receipt) for verification before the Trade Test.
7. Ensure all original documents, including government-issued ID (Aadhar, PAN, Voter ID, or Driving License), are presented during document verification.
